    Today I toured a duplex property owned by this company that had a lot of potential, but looked as if the previous tenants had just moved out. It wasn't clean, it had a bad pet odor, the blinds were busted, the back sliding door needs repair, the backyard was overgrown with dog poop all over. It stands out as a red flag that they would show the property in such a state. It conveys they will probably take care of maintenance issues when they get around to it. That said, after the tour I spoke with Lisa, who was friendly and professional asked me for feedback, made locking up a breeze, and assured me that they would clean and fix up the place before renting it out. I give 2 stars for Lisa's promptness and for the ease of scheduling a tour. Thank you for considering my feedback.

    DO NOT rent at ANY RDE property. I moved into their 1430 Bennett property in October and I would strongly advise against living here. Management is completely unresponsive unless you make a fuss. When I moved into a brand new unit, I went two weeks without a working dishwasher and almost an entire week without hot water. The only reason my dishwasher was finally fixed was because they asked me for a Google review—I refused until the issue was resolved. The problems don’t stop there. I once came home to dust and drywall all over my floor after they repaired skylights, and they didn’t bother to clean up afterwards. Maintenance has left my apartment unlocked for an entire day after entering. My utilities billing wasn’t even set up until five months into my lease. The humidity inside the building is unbearable—it has reached 85% inside my unit. (It’s recommended that homes stay below 60% to prevent mold and air quality issues.) I had to buy a large dehumidifier with my own money just to make my home livable. Meanwhile, the first floor is experiencing mold problems due to flooding/leaks, but management has made no formal announcement about it. The only reason I know is because my sister lives in an affected unit. She left a review about it, but it has mysteriously disappeared. I pay $1371 for a 1bedroom, so my rent isn’t expensive but it’s definitely enough to warrant a management team that cares. Given that this building is freshly remodeled and new to their roster, I expected some hiccups. However, management has proven that tenant experience is not a priority—only profits for themselves and their stakeholders. My unit itself is great, but after six months of dealing with this, I have zero plans to renew my lease. It may look like a great deal but it’s not worth it at all. Just pay the extra $250 and live at one of the brand new complexes a block away where they at least make sure your apartment is livable.
