I worked with Mark and Teresa to secure a landlord insurance policy when I was suddenly dropped by my other carrier. They made the process so easy and even saved me money on my new policy. I have called Teresa for questions since and she is extremely responsive and thoughtful - I would highly recommend.

Talked with Mark about a quote for numerous rental properties. He emailed requesting a lot of information to be able to get the quote. I spent a lot time collecting it all and got it back to him. He asked for more information. Again, I got the information to him. Then, nothing. I emailed asking for an update and was told he would have it for me the next day. Then, nothing. I emailed asking for an update and didn't receive a response. A few weeks later, I emailed again. I never did receive a response. I worried something had happened to him until I called the office. They said he was fine.

I worked with Mark Strauss here who seemed to be a fantastic agent and who was very responsive anytime I had questions when getting coverage setup for property and liability insurance and then eventually workers comp. I'm in Colorado and when we went to Portland for a trade show he said he would even try to come by. Seemed like a really nice guy. We were paying about $1000 in total coverage for years and then we got robbed a few months ago. When I reached out to Mark he answered my initial call and told me he would get back to me. I waited about a week before following up repeatedly for several weeks after multiple attempts via phone, email and text. I actually started to worry about him until I called the direct line and spoke with Carol DuClos who had told me he was fine and had just been in the office and would leave a message for him. I finally got the info I needed to make a claim only to find out we were denied any coverage on our $7,000+ loss because there was a fine print exclusion of theft. I was lead to believe we were covered by theft and we even installed security camera etc. as instructed to be "compliant". Turns out we've paid tens of thousands for no reason on top of our loss. I am deeply saddened at the idea that there may be others in our situation and really hope there are improvements made to the services provided by LA and their team.

We have been very pleased with the knowledge J. Darrin Gross demonstrates and the level of customer service we have received from him and his staff. Fantastic!

Under no circumstance will I ever do business with this company again. I can't recall ever seeing incompetence at this level.
