The studio and the vibe hasn't been the same since their main engineer Ray Dallas has left. Been going there for 3 years; I've always paid for mixing & mastering. The one time I ask them to make a simple change with my mixing they told me I would have to pay for another session since the mastering was already finalized, I never had those problems when Ray Dallas was there. Unreasonable studio and the owner doesn't empathize whatsoever, his main objective is just money.
I wanted to take the time to show Legacy Music Group some love! Before I even mention sound quality/production standard I need to commend their professionalism. These guys are very punctual and they take their work seriously. I can trust that my appointments will not be canceled or rescheduled last minute and that the audio engineers are ready to work when I arrive. I get a vibe of business and not “hey let’s all just chill and have fun” when I enter this studio. Every employee I have interacted with has been courteous, helpful, and friendly. Immediately before any alterations were made their microphone sounded worlds better than any studio I’ve ever been at. The settings they have dialed in are beautiful and inspire new ideas and creativity. I had the pleasure of working with Wayne and the mastered track came out sounding wonderful. Sitting on the couch and hearing him tweak with the different stems after the recording was finished was a very cool experience. He has extreme attention to detail and is very knowledgeable about hip-hop/rap music. Safe to say I have found a home. For anyone contemplating where they should record I would highly recommend this studio for a multitude of reasons. Thanks again guys I can’t wait for my appointment next Wednesday!
I was really excited to record here. The studio is dope and uses high quality equipment which is what I have been looking for since moving to Dallas. I came all the way from Frisco because of the good reviews but unfortunately my engineer wasn’t very friendly. Maybe that is just how he is but I like when my engineer gives me feedback or is excited on what they are apart of. Anything is better than silence. So for me it felt awkward & the vibe wasn’t there but I tried to make myself comfortable nonetheless. I will give the studio another chance but will definitely work with a different engineer.
