It's 12:45 in the afternoon on September 29th and I am showing up here to follow up with court for a restraining order on my abuser. This is the second negative experience I've had here. The woman who is working the front desk right now was very short with me and rude. I waited at the front door ringing the doorbell multiple times with my son in my arms waiting to be let in and when she didn't another woman in the lobby finally did. She was NOT friendly and seemed to have no care for the people coming in here. She has been instant messaging on her computer and honestly looks like she's rather be anywhere but here. It's experiences like these that make me feel unwelcomed and like I don't want to come back. I was already reluctant coming here this time because a couple years ago I had a similar experience. But this is honestly unacceptable. If you can't show a little more kindness and compassion for the people that come here then you are in the wrong line of work. After I leave here today for court I probably won't come back for services even though I need them because I'm tired of being being treated like I'm not welcomed. Obviously I'm going through a lot with my abuser and the lack of care makes it so much worse.
