For almost 2 years, every time I try to get set up with a therapist, I am turned away. They expect everyone to use the walk in clinic, instead of having a regular appointment. I am mentally disabled and on SSI. Portland can do better.

I can’t testify for the urgent care or other departments but the upstairs resources team is incredible. They held an orientation and addressed all my needs in a compassionate manner. I was promptly set up with a counselor the next week. They also set me up with a primary care physician, got me into support groups and called just to check on my well-being multiple times. They also provided food and hygiene supplies. I would highly recommend this group/resource.
