December 2023 Update: This is my favorite camera store in the Portland area. Employees are helpful and friendly, and they have a nice selection of camera products both new and used, film and digital. They carry a variety of brands, including Hoya filters. That's a big one for me, since their competition across town dropped Hoya from their lineup in favor of BW (BW has terrible IR suppression and their ND filters give a terrible reddish magenta color cast that needs to be corrected in post. Hoya filters are sharp with no such color cast).
They also have a great selection of products from Canon, Sony, Nikon, and more. They get in all the latest releases, and they also repair gear in house vs outsource it to someone else. That's a big one, as it means you don't have to worry about damaged in shipping or having to ship it (if you're local). Some of my Canon gear is reaching the end of its service life, so Canon Professional Services (CPS) won't make repairs to those items anymore. As long as the parts are still available, Camera Solutions will continue to repair the gear. That's another great thing about this place. It's hard to find a place which will sell you gear and also repair your gear when you need it. This place does both and they do so in a friendly manner.
Camera Solutions is a great, locally owned Camera store with a surprisingly good selection of products in stock. I try to support local brick-and-mortar businesses when I can. When I need camera gear, this place is my first call, and if they have what I need I won't bother looking elsewhere, online or otherwise. If I need repairs and CPS will no longer make the repairs, Camera Solutions is also place I'll call. Top to bottom, it's the best camera store in the Portland area in my opinion.
Original Review: Friendly staff with a good selection of cameras and accessories. They have everything from camera bodies, lenses, and tripods two filters, microfiber cleaning cloth and cleaning brushes. They department. They also do repairs in house (though the wait time can understandably be long at times due to demand). Ample parking in the small parking lot, and easy access right off Macadam. They're also open on Saturdays. Overall, this is a nice store. It's one of my favorites in the metro area, and if they have what I'm looking for all generally purchase it from here before looking online or elsewhere.
