Not happy with Alamo Title on Preston Rd. Cody deducted a survey from my buyers earnest check when we opted out during her Option period. Why did he not get her authorization, and why order it so quickly while in option. He did not give the buyer the chance to select or order her survey, buyer had a friend that was a surveyor and wanted to use him. None the less, title had no right to order with out prior authorization, despite they used their preferred survey company. Do they get a kick back? Does Cody get a kick back?All Cory could say was he acted “per the contract”. When I asked him to show me where it states that title has the free will to order the buyers survey with out authorization, then deduct the survey amount out of her earnest with out even telling the buyer, or myself her check was short. He could not! The contract clearly states that the buyer at the buyers expense shall order the new survey. In 18B it states title has the right to deduct “authorized” expenses. This was not authorized. They refuse to give the survey money back to the buyer. Alamo Title has done this buyer very wrong and won’t admit their mistake. This is not my first bad experience with this branch of Alamo Title and I will not refer them again, as well as, I will share my experience with any agent I speak with about Real Estate Experiences!

We closed about a month ago at this location. The whole team is extremely professional and responsive! We closed with Cody Domino and was a great and smooth transaction, he answered all the questions we had with knowledge and honesty .
