If I could give them a zero I would. They went back on their word, and would not insure us after they said they would, when we paused due to COVID. Really left us in a lurch and didn't let us know till the last minute, so very tough to get coverage elsewhere that quickly. Terrible ethics and customer service. Don't use them.
I live in a floating home and have very limited options for insurance which has forced me to use Redshield. Not only are the prices insanely high for the benefit/deductible that you actually receive, but their system is incredibly outdated and difficult to use. It's taken me almost two years to get autopayment set up, I have to change my password every time I log in (can't repeat passwords), the autopayment amounts differ from month to month and it doesn't update the pay request so i am frequently over/underpaying, and there isn't an automatic cancellation once i am paid in full so it will continue to withdraw then send "overpayment" checks back to me unless i physically log in and cancel myself. Before autopayment was worse since by the time I would get the physical bill every month, the payment was already late and you can't make an online payment if it's late. I received multiple cancellation notices after I had submitted payment that then had to be reinstated. Insurance shouldn't be this difficult and I have never had similar experience with other home/auto insurers. The only saving grace is that they have a local office so if I absolutely need to resolve something I can physically go in and wait until someone will help me, but again it's 2020 and that should be unnecessary. I really have no confidence in Redshield and dread the day that I have to file a claim with them. If there were other options in the floating home insurance world, I would gladly pursue them.
