I pay enough yearly and now am wondering if it would cover anything if I were to need it. The website doesn't exist. Calling them is an automated system. When I put my information in, it can't understand it. I've tried multiple times. I put my account number in multiple times and it reads it back to me completely incorrect each time. This company is worthless and feels like a complete sham!
Poor insurance and poor service! I have a homeowners policy with the company, but I will soon be transferring to another company. During Hurricane Ida, my house experienced damage to the main water line. The water line connecting the house to the street had to be replaced costing almost $7000. First, just filing the complaint was difficult. The website has an online tool that is difficult to access and frankly looked like a 10-year old designed it. In any case, I couldn't get access to it so I had to wait until the office was open to file my complaint by phone. Because the house didn't have any water, I had to move forward with the repairs out of pocket, as it took several days before anyone ever got back to me about the claim. Similarly, I had to contact them several times, just to get a copy of my policy. It was weeks before I was contacted by an adjuster asking about the claim and expenses. Close to two months after the claim was filed I received a denial letter saying that the damage was most likely the result of "deterioration." I have a more well-known company for my other property and have had to file storm-related claims with them. I found the process to be so much easier, straightforward, and equitable. My advice, avoid this insurance company at all costs.
