they do not care for your, as every other insurance company doesnt,. any chance they can get to charge you they wll. barely any reputable providers who dont view you as a cattle with a number around your neck. im actually going to start paying for private insurance because of how terrible you guys are. all the 5 star reviews are employees every company does so w their call center employees I use to have to do so.

Simply the worst. Can't believe they're allowed to write fake reviews about themselves - look at how many reviews start identically "I recently had the pleasure of calling Metroplus..." Sort reviews by newest if you want to see what people really think about this company. They refuse to reimburse gym fees - every time I submit, they lie about something being missing, even though it is clearly included in the documentation. I've submitted 9x now and still no reimbursement.

I have metroplus insurance for couple of years. The insurance is like any other health insurance. I used to have gold metroplus, i got gym reimbursement for gym (200 for every 6 months). The cost of gold metroplus went to four figures, i changed to silver. Silver went up and now i am in Bronze. While renewing my insurance the agent told me the rewards and gym reimbursement are all the same cross board. I sent in for gym reimbursement last week, I was told i am not entitled only Gold members are entitled. It makes no sense if the rewards and reimbursement are across board, shouldn't i be eligible. It is disappointing as i was the reimbursement help me pay for my gym. Health insurance is not cheap.

As a MetroPlus Health client, I have received terrible service at different stages of my enrollment with them. Their enrollment specialists only care to enroll you in their health plan. Most of them do not even try or can’t answer your questions. Heavily represented in public hospitals or near immigration facilities. They often use advantage over minorities and immigrant communities who don’t understand how the healthcare system works. Their phone support specialists are often rude and don’t want to provide sufficient explanations. They will ignore you if you ask for a translation. Which is unacceptable considering the diversity of communities they serve. And even if you decide to visit their office in person, you can be discriminated against by their unprofessional security trying to find any reason to turn you away. There are a lot of 5-star reviews written in a similar manner which is suspicious. Looks like they are written by their representatives who are encouraged by their organization for good reviews. I recommend choosing a different organization for your health insurance. The one that respects their clients and has professional and caring representatives.
