I have been with Edward Jones for over 10 years. My Financial advisor, Kristina, was a new replacement for my last Advisor. I really haven’t paid too much attention to her response time until the last few years. I am getting older and need access to my money. I had dinner with friends who are also with Edward Jones and one, in particular, raves about how she can call in and speak to him at any time during business hours. She also has his cell number which I have never had from my Advisor, Kristina. Her Advisor has been in With Edward Jones over 12 years, maybe longer and I found out that his years of production ranks him high so he is available in the office to take all client calls. I didn't know about this ranking system before. Kristina has been with Edwards Jones for almost 9 years but is rarely in the office. The assistant tracks her down and sometimes I get a return phone call but other times she eventually gets to me the next day. She spends very little time in the office and she also has a very high turnover in assistants. They often have to call the home office to handle my needs and then get back to me. After the conversations with friends and knowing that I will need more as I am nearing retirement, I made a change to my friend's Edward Jones Financial Advisor. It has been wonderful. He may have a much larger clientele but he is always in the office during business hours to help me with my portfolio. Another big plus is that his office assistant has been with him for several years. She can immediately handle my requests on my accounts without the guidance of the home office.
