Ryan Braun
I had been a client for 10 years until last week. They had done personal tax preparation for me since 2014 and so I went to Kyle to help set everything up when I purchased my business a year and a half ago. Last year they made a mistake in my filings and were increasingly difficult to communicate with but I figured everyone has a hard time once in awhile and they had always been there for me in the past. Then two days ago on the first day of tax season I received this email: "Dear Ryan and Jennifer, Our firm is in the process of narrowing focus around the service areas we have traditionally provided, and as a result, we unfortunately will no longer be able to provide you with Business and Personal tax assistance this upcoming season and future. You may need adequate time to properly evaluate a new professional relationship so we've reached out to a few local colleagues if you'd like any recommendations." No context, no warning, not even the courtesy of a phone call. Now I need to find a new accountant for my personal and business taxes in January after counting on them for 10 years and having just paid Kyle to set up everything for my business only a year and a half ago. Ten years ago Kyle was a good guy and a great accountant. I don't know what happened, but if the words trust, accuracy, reliability, and professionalism mean anything to you in a financial professional, find someone else.
