I had the pleasure of working with Sean M. as my recruiter. I've been a travel nurse for 2 years and have worked with previous recruiters for contract work, but this was my first time working with a recruiter for a permanent/full-time role. It was 10/10 an amazing experience. Interviewing and the application process for a new job is stressful enough, so it was so great having Sean as the "middle man" between the employer and I. I sometimes feel uncomfortable asking employers important questions during the first initial interviews - pay, benefits, insurance - but in working with Sean, he was able to answer all those questions with 100% transparency! And he was incredibly receptive the entire interview process! Working with Sean/a recruiter also let me know if I was right for the role and genuinely interested in the role before even interviewing. Working with Sean and ABS Staffing, I secured the job I wanted and was amazed at the experience of working with a recruiter

I was contacted regarding an opportunity by Grace. I went through the process of the phone interview with Grace, the phone interview with Ariel, and then submitted the required writing sample. I actually had to send Ariel the invite for the interview, which was new for me. In addition, I had to accommodate for a later time due to double booking. I believe the whole process could use some improvements as it was not as professional as I am used to. During the phone interview with Ariel, she was outside walking her dog. I have followed up, but have not heard back from the agency. Even if they did decide to pursue another candidate, I would at least expect a closed loop of communication.

As a new transplant to NYC, I applied to a number of different temp agencies, and from start to finish, ABS really stood out. After uploading my resume to their site, I was emailed right away about coming into the office. The office building is very trendy, and right away I was offered fruit-infused water or a hot drink. I met with Ariel, the owner, and she could not have been more welcoming. She asked a lot of questions about what I was looking for in a job and the qualities I like best in my workplace. She mentioned opportunities that might fit my skills, and she was receptive to my concerns. After I left the interview, I got regular updates about job prospects and within a week, I was hired.
